If you can think of other ways to help fundraise please let us know.

School council is also involved in the recruitment of new staff. The school council were most recently involved in the appointment of Miss Hall our new Admin Assistant.

As with local and national politics – our school council is elected from a group of nominated individuals from each class. Nominees are encouraged to consider why they would like to represent their class within the school council and what qualities they would bring to the role.

Any child wishing to be a school councillor must promise to:

  • Attend meetings on time.

  • Take responsibility for any preparation they have been asked to do.

  • Speak clearly and confidently in a number of situations.

  • Wear their school council badge proudly at all times when in school.

  • Act as a role model for other pupils.

They then make their presentations to the rest of the class who anonymously make their selections. Each class has the opportunity to vote for two Councillors who they would like to represent them on the School Council.
