Vision
At Reevy Hill, our vision for our Music curriculum is to provide our pupils with a high quality music education that will engage and inspire them to develop a love of music, develop their self-confidence and encourage creativity.
Our Music curriculum is taught using Kapow as a basis, supported by Bradford Music and Arts Service. The coverage of the scheme of work offers opportunities for pupils to develop their talents in composition, singing and musical appreciation. Knowledge and vocabulary progression is planned carefully to ensure that children will know more and remember more as they progress throughout school.
We enhance our Music curriculum through giving pupils the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument, to sing in the school choir, in assemblies and during school productions. We create opportunities for pupils to bring their learning to life by experiencing Music outside of the classroom, with trips including playing with the Halle Orchestra and singing at Bradford Cathedral.
