Our Curriculum

Our Vision

At Reevy Hill, we strive to develop confident and successful pupils who have a love of learning, and set high aspirations for learners of all abilities. We have 5 values (ready and willing to learn, respect, resilience, empathy and self-regulation) that are integrated throughout the curriculum. These values are at the core of everything we do and our children understand that when they practise these, they are able to be the best version of themselves and succeed in anything they do.

Our curriculum has been carefully designed to consider the knowledge and skills our learners have, and to build on these throughout their time with us. It is carefully planned and sequenced so every topic has a clear end point with specific knowledge and key concepts built upon throughout, ensuring children know and remember more. We strive to have a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum, delivered by passionate teachers, which allows learners of all abilities to succeed and be motivated for the next step in their learning.

The curriculum is enhanced through providing children with many exciting opportunities that go beyond the classroom. Activities are thoroughly planned so they bring the curriculum to life with purposeful experiences that many of our learners may not experience in their own lives. From visiting museums and art galleries, to facing fears and learning new skills on the Year 6 residential, all the staff at Reevy Hill go above and beyond to ensure our learners have the most enriching experiences possible.

Reevy Hill is a safe space for pupils to come and learn, and to be pushed to reach their full potential. As well as providing a knowledge-based curriculum, we provide children with the skills and values to make a positive contribution to wider society, and be equipped to deal with some of the challenges they may face living in Bradford.
