Before we go back to the story, you are going to have a grammar lesson to revisit expanded noun phrases which will help make your writing interesting.

Comets and stars: Write noun phrases to describe Dave.

Astronauts: Write expanded noun phrases to describe Dave.
Dave is a smelly, green troll.
Planets and rockets: Write expanded noun phrases to describe Dave. Extend your sentences with connectives.
Dave is a smelly, green troll and he sleeps in his cave all day.
Claude in the City
Use the story and the video of the city to write sentences about the setting.
Rockets and Planets: Try and use expanded noun phrases.
The tall, bright streetlights shine over the busy city.
Claude looked up at the huge, grey buildings and he wanted to explore.
Comets and stars:
The busy city has lots of tall buildings.
LO: To write exclamation statements
Piper did a super week of work yesterday on exclamation marks!
LO: To create a storymap.
LO: To write a postcard to Mr and Mrs Shinyshoes.
EDIT: Today you are going to write a draft of your postcard. Write clear statements and exclamation statements about your visit to the city.
Then, read your writing.
Use a different colour pen to edit your writing.
Have you added capital letters and full stops or exclamation marks?
Have you included expanded noun phrases?
You are going to write your final version on Monday.
